These people are scams. They called my work asking to clarify which department I worked in, then after being very rude to HR I was called as they wouldn't provide any information about who was calling or for which company. When I contacted this number they said they were ERS company. I asked what that stands for. "That's the name of our company". Okay. Again I ask what the letters mean. Again she won't tell me. So I ask what they do, do which I am told "we do many things". Then I ask why they called my work and she answers "I will need your social security number to pull up your file before I tell you that." Um is this very, very rude black woman crazy? I asked why she couldn't use my name and birth date and she says "if you are unwilling to cooperate then goodbye". Keep in mind, I have read on various sites that this number has identified themselves as the FBI, a collection agency, the Manhatten Police Department, and the US Board of education. This is a straight scam. This is a MIAMI number where identity theft is a common occurance, and social security numbers are often sold to illegal immigrants.
